It’s Jonah.

I was buying a fragrance at a store recently. 

And one of the salespeople there were suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper boring.

Eeyore from winnie the pooh type of boring. The type of person that makes you feel sad whenever you stand next to them.

I went to the fragrance section and said to the guy: “Hey man, store looks awesome. Do you guys have anything new in stock?”

The guy said something unthinkable. Something that would make you want to run away from him immediately.

He said:

“Yes we have this new one here, but no one’s been buying it sadly :(“

He’s a salesman and said this with a sad look on his face. Even had a depressed tone.

No one wants to buy from that guy!

Everyone wants the super high energy, happy guy to tell everything that’s awesome about the product.

In contrast, I went to another section where the older brands were.

There was a representative there next to the shelves.

As soon as I got there he shook my hand and said “Welcome! I’m John. Want to try out this new scent? Everyone’s been in love with it!”

The dude was actually fun to be around. He was telling stories and just enjoying himself.

And I ended up buying 3 different things.

In your business and sales calls, start being that high energy and happy person. Overwhelm people with positivity. Will help you out massively.
