How To Instantly Grab People’s Attention & Turn Them Into Clients

Let me show you something that has been the backbone of my marketing ever since I got into this field.

This principle will drastically improve your ads and it doesn’t take a marketing genius to learn. It’s quite simple, and I think it’ll help your business as much as it did mine.

Why The Majority Of Ads Get Ignored

Almost every ad you see online fails miserably because of this one reason - they don’t force the customer to pay attention.

Your advertising has to immediately grab the reader by the throat and pull them in.

People are bombarded with advertising constantly. Just think - how many ads have you seen today?

You don’t remember them for this exact reason.

They didn’t grab your attention. Didn’t force you to read them. Didn’t jump out of the screen and command your attention.

The first thing your ad says makes or breaks how it performs. If someone sees your ad and it doesn’t talk about their problems or desires, they’ll think “Nah, this isn’t for me” and move on.

Let’s take this dental ad as an example:

“We have been in business for 30 years serving the Springfield community. We love all of our patients and we’re fully certified.”

It’s great that he loves his patients, but this ad simply wouldn’t perform.

Why? Because the reader would’ve moved on after the first 5 words.

It doesn’t speak about their problems. A much better ad would be something as simple as this:

“Get rid of coffee stains and nicotine stains on your teeth, quickly and easily.”

Imagine you’re someone facing one of these dental problems. This ad would immediately grab your attention and force you to keep reading.

These small changes will drastically improve how the ad performs.

Yet, the majority of businesses are losing out on clients because they’re making this mistake everywhere.

On their website, their social media, their advertising, and even when they talk to their customers.

First impressions are everything - a customer should go to your website or social media and immediately think “Yes, this is for me! This solves my problem!”.

It’s great that you’ve been in business for a long time, or that you are environmentally friendly - but if you start off that way, you’ll lose out on customers because they simply won’t pay attention.

So let’s look at the 3 easiest ways to get your customers’ attention and have them interested in what you sell.

How To Instantly Grab Your Reader’s Attention & Get More Clients

Number 1: Immediately point out a problem that they are facing.

If you want to get the attention of someone in a busy train station, how would you do it?

You call out their name.

Their name is something that they resonate with deeply.

Your advertising should be the same. If you solve back pain, the first line of text in your ad should be about the customer’s back pain.

Number 2: Mention how you help them.

Now that you have their attention, let them know about what you do.

How do you help them?

What makes you different?

Why are you the best solution for their problems?

Number 3: Make it easy to say “Yes”.

Now you have their attention and they’re interested.

Let’s seal the deal with a simple instruction.

Add an instruction for them to take and make it easy to say “Yes” to.

This could be something like “Book now to get a free estimate”, or “Click Order Now to get your product”.

Tell your customer exactly what to do and where to go so they can easily contact you.

These three things drastically improved my marketing, and I know it’ll do the same for your business.
