One Easy Trick To Skyrocket Your Ad’s Conversion Rate
The vast majority of advertising is way too confusing. The customer watches the ad and doesn’t even know where to go, what to click on, or why there’s a dancing potato chip mascot in the video.
In the next 2 minutes I’ll show you a simple trick that can easily get you more clients without needing to buy a potato chip costume for it. Let me show you what I mean.
Why Most Ads Fail
Growing up, we were taught to study the “big boy brands” and look at their advertising. Just look at Doritos. They had a dancing puppy that somehow learned to speak english.
Look at Red Bull. A man grows wings from an energy drink and flies up to the sky. This is good advertising… right? Wrong.
But the crazy part is, we all intrinsically think that this is the correct way to do our marketing, just because it’s how all the big brands do it. That makes sense, right?
Dancing Puppy Marketing
The problem with “Dancing Puppy Marketing” is that it doesn’t actually work. If you saw an ad like that and you didn’t recognize the brand, would you give them a call with the intention to buy their product?
You probably wouldn’t. You’d see the commercial and think “Haha, what a silly dog.”
This isn’t the type of marketing that gets us SALES, more clients, or any of the other juicy stuff that we want.
The truth is - if you want your advertising to SELL, you have to actually make it do that. So how do you make advertisements that sell?
How To Make Advertisements That Sell
First things first - don’t flashbang your customer with silly ideas and remarks. The key to these things is actually quite simple - keep things simple.
Let’s compare these two ads for a dentist:
Ad Number 1: An animation of a toothbrush having an intense boxing match with a cavity.* The ad then finishes with “Call up Doctor Dental, and knock those cavities out!”
Ad Number 2: “Do you have a toothache? Call up Doctor Dental for a quick cavity fix in just 1 visit!”
Which one do you think would appeal more to someone that has a toothache?
PS - It’s definitely not the first one.
It’s genuinely that simple. All you need to do is talk directly to your customer. No wishy washy potato chips, just speak to them how you would in a regular conversation.
I highly recommend you try this in your own business.
